Undergraduate Research Project
My colleagues and I, led by Professor Solomon Boakye-Yiadom, designed a Torsional Split Hopkinson Bar. This design was intended for use by the Ministry of Defense of Canada. Below is one of the designs for the clamp that I have personally created in Solid Works which has contributed to the overall design of the mechanism.
Cat Water Fountain
This personal project was inspired by my cats at home and their love for drinking directly out of the faucet. I designed the centrifugal pump, drew all the CAD models, programmed the Arduino, 3D printed the parts (using my personal printer), and put all the components together.
Truck Fairing Design Project
This design project was meant to give an understanding of the flow and air resistance that occurs on a highway. Using SolidWorks and Star CCM, the cad models were drawn, the flow was simulated, and an analysis of the results was conducted, to design a more aerodynamic truck fairing.
Mini Design Project
This second year university project consisted of creating a design for a mechanism that can transport people over a river. Through the engineering process, our team brainstormed, designed, simulated, and trouble shooted to finalize a prototype. This project required strong collaborative skills and confidence in mechanics of materials and Solid Works.
SumoBot
This sumobot was built for a competition at McMaster University. The task was to design a bot with the specific dimensions, and capabilities to knock the opponants outside of the ring. This group project consisted of designing the cad model, 3D printing, and programming the Arduino and sensors.
Capstone Project
This fourth-year final project was assigned by RPS Composites as a tool to make their design process easier. My group was dealt the task of creating a programing that can better predict when a pipe will burst, using python and solidworks.
Can Crusher Design Project
This third-year design project was inspired by renewable energy. The goal of this task was to create a can crusher mechanism that solely uses the power of flowing water. This group project consisted of several reports, CAD models, simulations, and prototyping.
