Engineering Undergraduate Research Assistant
York University
The design of a Torsional Split Hopkinson Bar taught me a great deal on how to conduct research for unfamiliar problems and how to communicate technical ideas to those of differing academic backgrounds. Reading papers, asking professors and technicians, and collaborating with colleages gave me a preview of what a design project is truly like.
Tutor
Scholars Canada, Bradford
I learned to teach students of all ages and academic abilities how to think logically and analytically. I regularly adapted to all students’ learning styles and developed an ability to simplify some of the most complex ideas. Reporting on the students’ progress to keep the parents and supervisors up to date was a regular task.
